YouTube prank videos are getting more and more intense, with popular entertainers 'The Janoskians' being subjected to a particularly cruel, over-the-top prank.

Well-know YouTube prankster 'VitalyzdTv' turned the tables on fellow YouTube jokers 'The Janoskians' with an overly cruel prank that has racked up over four million views in eight days.

Currently trending in Ireland, the video sees the young housemates' house broken into by several aggressive men and women dressed in 'DEA' outfits.

The friends are then shoved to the ground, cable-tied, placed face-first against a wall and pushed around by the 'DEA agents'.

Several of the costumed pranksters head upstairs to fake a search of the house, while one remains to read a scarily official search warrant.

The men return with large bags of what they claim are cocaine and marijuana. The young group are screamed at, pushed around and threatened as one of the females in the group is reduced to terrified tears.

The over-the-top prank even continued when one of the Janoskians asks the ringleader to "pinky-promise this isn't a prank". He does so, then pushes the teenager back to the ground.

The joke was well-received by the group, who have been known to play pranks themselves.

YouTube pranks are getting more and more elaborate and in some cases, more cruel. Light-hearted episodes of shows like 'Punk'd' and 'Prank'd' seem to have inspired online a litany of high-budget schemes and jokes aimed to embarrass, and in some cases, terrify, their victims.
