A video journalist and artist has projected a slur allegedly used by President Trump this week on to the front of his Washington hotel.

Trump is reported to have used the word "s***hole" to refer to countries including El Salvador Haiti, and parts of Africa this week.

The comments were allegedly made during a discussion about immigrants from those countries with a group of senators as he rejected a bipartisan immigration deal.

The backlash has been huge, with Trump's words described as 'racist' by the UN's human rights office.

In the aftermath Trump tweeted, "The language used by me at the DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) meeting was tough, but this was not the language used".

Artist Robin Bell projected "This place is a s***hole" on the front of the hotel with other comments and poo emojis and shared the video of his protest on Twitter where it has gone viral.
