Simon Cowell has cleared up the “flashing” incident that left viewers puzzled on Saturday night.

The entrepreneur was sitting in a peculiar position on the couch during the Judges’ Houses round of the music competition, creating an optical illusion that his manhood was on show.

However, it was in fact his big toe.

When he made an appearance on spin-off show the Xtra Factor, he cleared up the speculation to hosts Rylan Clark-Neal and Matt Edmondson.

“Before anything else I want to clear up toe-gate,” the father-of-one said.

“It was just my toe. It was quite embarrassing when I saw it online but it was just my toe. I have a very large toe.”

Simon Cowell has made many wardrobe mistakes in the past, but this is undoubtedly one of the worst (and most hilarious.)

Aside from the wardrobe incident, the music mogul chose his final three acts from the girls category that would be going through to the live shows.

He surprised fans by cutting favourite Caitlyn Vanbeck, and instead taking Emily Middlemas, Gifty Louise and Sam Lavery through to the next round.
