Top marks for originality, that's for sure.

When Matthew O’Gorman didn’t get a date for the Debs, he decided against doing the unimaginable and taking his cousin.

Instead, the resourceful Wicklow man put an ad on Done Deal.

“Hi there, my debs is on the 11 of August and due to circumstances I don’t have a date, so if your interested send me a text,” reads the ad.

He went on to say that his date will be provided with “the full trimmings”.

The 18-year-old even submitted a rather fetching description of himself.

“I sail and play provincial rugby. I have a decent job (electrician). Good sense of humour. Don’t smoke. Not that bad looking according to my mother.”

The 18-year-old also threw in a few references from his friends for good measure, some of which are questionable.

“Bradley Cooper – Great guy! Would go with him if I could.”

The ad has been viewed over 2,200 times since it was posted on Thursday, so something tells us Matthew won't have a problem finding a date.
