Wexford TD Mick Wallace added another item to the Dail dress-code when he appeared in the chamber today sporting a Torino jersey.

Wallace, more accustomed to donning his pink polo shirts at Leinster House, is understood to support the Italian side from the city of Turin who are the bitter rivals of Juventus.

Fine Gael TD Charlie Flanagan tweeted a picture of Wallace today with the message: "Dail now has Serie A Prima Squadra Tim Torino. 1st round v the RA."

Charlie Flanagan later wrote that he was "More of a Juventus man myself since Liam Brady's days" and posted a picture of Liam Brady. Former Republic of Ireland star VBrady played for the Turn giants in the early 1980s.

Wallace (58) is a keen soccer fan and is the founder of Airtricity League Division One side, Wexford Youths.
