Man watches pregnant wife get stabbed via FaceTime
Serving soldier watches in horror as wife is attacked via iPhone webchat app
Rachel Poole was talking to her husband via 'FaceTime' when an assailant broke into their home and stabbed her.
Poole, who was nine months pregnant, was rushed to hospital suffering from multiple stab wounds, including injuries to her face and left eye.
HLN reported that Pele Poole flew back to Texas on Friday. He then posted this picture of his hospitalised wife to Facebook with the caption "My wife fought back so that her daughter could live."
According to an arrest affidavit obtained by KFOX14, Mrs Poole recognised her attacker and screamed his name. The teenager is now in police custody.
Thankfully, the couple's daughter was not seriously injured in the attack, and was this week delivered safely, although Pele Poole claims his wife "can't see or hold her baby until she recovers".
A Facebook page has been set up called 'Prayers and Updates for Rachel Poole' and already has over 7,000 likes. The page was started by Rachel's sister and has recently updated that "Rachel's eye seems to be responding in such a way that is giving (the couple) hope and encouragement."
A fundraiser has been set up for the family, which has so far raised $500 of it's $5,000 goal.
