Maltesers' Paralympics ad campaign has everyone talking
Maltesers’ new ad campaign for the Paralympics doesn’t disappoint.
The chocolate treat company owned by Mars is running a campaign that encourages viewers to “look on the light side of disability.”
The manufacturer won £1m worth of free advertising from Channel Four in a competition to make ads featuring disability and diversity during the Paralympics, and as a result created thee advertisements that have been a massive success.
Each clip features a disabled actor telling a tale to their friends of something awkward that happened to them.
The first features a young woman recalling the night she had a spasm while in her boyfriend’s house, while the second tells a hilarious story of what happened to a woman while at her friend’s wedding.
The third advertisement features two women with hearing impairments, with one woman telling in sign language how her hearing aid went rogue.
The advertisements have gone down a treat with viewers, with one person saying they are “incredible.”
