Luke Ming Flanagan got burned by Aer Lingus after branding them #chancers
Irish MEP Luke Ming Flanagan was slapped back after taking a swipe at Aer Lingus online today.
The politician took to Twitter this afternoon to moan about the airline's departure times.
The Roscommon MEP wrote: "What are @aerlingus stats for leaving on time? Does it ever happen? Then the drip drip feed of oh dear we're going to be a bit later #chancers".
But the airline wasn't taking the criticism lying down and replied, with their tongues stuck firmly in their cheeks: "Hi Luke, we see that your flight landed a few minutes early today. We hope to see you on board again soon!"

The airline's response was retweeted 37 times and received 137 likes. Mr Flanagan was left with a measly 11 likes for his original tweet.
Nevertheless, he seemed to get into the joke and acknowledge that he was well and truly burned.
He later wrote: "The squeaky wheel gets the oil. First time in months."
