JK Rowling slams Twitter troll in epic fashion over Serena Williams comment

Serena Williams is the Wimbledon champion for the sixth time after beating Spain's Garbine Muguruza in straight sets on Centre Court.

The 33-year-old American's incredible achievement is made even more remarkable by virtue of the fact she now holds all four major titles - the so-called Serena Slam.

Williams has now won 21 Grand Slams overall but somehow, somehow, some people still want to talk about the way she looks (which is ridiculous on so many levels).

JK Rowling was among those congratulating Serena on her success when she tweeted: "#SerenaSlam! I love her. What an athlete, what a role model, what a woman!"

Not everyone got the memo about it being the 21st century (or not to mess with Rowling on Twitter), however.

"@jk_rowling @hansmollman ironic then that main reason for her success is that she is built like a man."
