An Irishman's heartwarming good deed has gone viral.

Liam Murphy, a test engineeer from Cork who was visiting the United Arab Emirates on a business trip, took a taxi from Dubai to Abu Dhabi visit Ferrari World.

As he chatted to his Indian taxi driver Shakiha he found out the man, who had moved to the UAE 14 years previously, had never been on a rollercoaster.

Shakiha told Liam he'd wait the four hours for the return trip while he enjoyed the park, but Liam instead paid his entry fee and invited him along for the day.

"Today I made his dreams come true for the laugh" wrote Liam on Facebook and the engineer is now doing interviews with US newspapers and radio stations as a result of his good deed.
