Irish photographer Tony Kelly with racy new iPhone5s video
The iPhone meets its model match. In a dramatic new video by Irish photographer Tony Kelly, who regularly shoots for Playboy, a model chews up, smashes and hammers the world’s most coveted device: the iPhone 5.
“Every so often I make a fun, interesting video and I decided on this idea because what’s more topical than the iPhone,” the international photographer told Independent.ie.
Starring model and actress Stephanie Corneliussen, who’s best known for her role in Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters where she starred alongside Bong girl Gemma Arterton and Jeremy Renner, the video sees her throw the iPhone into a food blender and take a drill and a blow torch to it.
Kelly, who started out his career in the Herald newspaper has shot Formula One heiress Tamara Ecclestone for Playboy as well as Russell Brand for GQ magazine. He has also photographed Cameron Diaz and pop sensation Justin Bieber.
“It’s just a fun piece of art using the most-talked about and topical possession in the world,” explained Kelly about his latest video.
His video offering last Christmas went viral with over 1m hits on YouTube. It saw models including Amanda Booth spray each other champagne and chop down a Christmas tree with a saw.
