'I wish I'd had the courage to find out if you were single' - Woman puts Facebook feelers out for lad she spoke to in queue at Lidl
A anonymous woman is looking for love in Lidl - with a guy she met in the queue.
The woman posted a message, via the admin, on the 'You know you're from Dun Laoghaire when...' Facebook group page on Wednesday in search of the mystery man.
They met in the queue at the Deansgrange store and exchanged pleasantries as she let him go ahead of her. However, she would have liked to have asked him out, it seems, as she later took to Facebook to track him down.
She wrote, "Were you in Lidl, Deansgrange today, Tuesday 13th June at approx 2:15. You purchased cherry tomatoes, feta cheese and water?
"I'm the lady that let you ahead of me in the queue & we exchanged a few words. I wish I'd had the courage to find out if you were single without coming across as completely deranged. If you know who this man is, please get in touch with Admin."
Apparently the man has a tattoo on his left arm which may help with identifying him. And Lidl are doing their bit by tweeting her request on their official Twitter.
While some customers are hoping for a happy ending to this modern day potential love story, others are a little more cynical.
My inner cynic says it would have been less deranged to hit on him at the till instead of starting a national hunt on Twitter & 98fm 🤣— Paul (@imfml) June 13, 2017
