If you're in your 20s and feeling like the world is against you then you should take a look at this video of Lisa Kudrow.

The Friends star is giving a graduation speech in 2010 which is going viral now.

Kudrow, who played Phoebe Buffay in the hugely popular series for more than a decade, reveals that her path to success was not a smooth one.

She explains that she was fired from the also hugely successful TV show Frasier following the pilot - and thought her acting career was over.

"Everyone knew it was going to be a hit - and it was," she says.

"This time, it was really hard not to think that it wasn't meant to be, my career as an actress."

She added: "I understand that because the 20s - they are that time in your life when you're really getting acquainted to self-doubt when there's so much seemingly at stake.

"So let me reassure you.  It's not supposed to be easy.

"You're supposed to have moments of uncertainty about which path to take because the 20s are full of crossroads.

"When one door closes, another door always opens.

"It really does. That's what I would tell myself to keep those moments of doubt only moments.

"It worked. I kept going.

"After many auditions, I was the second person cast in the pilot called 'Friends Like Us', which would be later changed to 'Friends'.

"She finished her speech with a line we should always remember.

"So, thank God I got fired."

Wise words indeed.  And ones worth remembering, whatever your age.
