Groom buried on the day newlyweds had originally planned to marry
A couple's wedding video has gone viral after it was revealed that the groom died just 128 days after the wedding, and was buried on the day the couple had originally planned to wed.
Jenn Carter and Solomon Chau, from Toronto, Canada, celebrated their wedding a couple of months early following a terminal cancer diagnosis for the groom.
The couple were planning their summer wedding when, in December 2014, Chau was diagnosed with liver cancer.
Despite being told he would recover, he learned in March that the cancer had spread and he was given months to live.
The couple created a GoFund me page and raised $52,000 to get married immediately. They celebrated their wedding in April.
A friend of the couple told the Toronto star that despite pain in his shoulders, Chau was "standing tall when he married Jen".
The couple, who had been together for eight years, were married for 128 days before Chau passed away. The funeral was held on the couple's original wedding date.
Carter took to Facebook to pay respects to her partner of eight years.
"I’m forever in your debt for showing me what love really is all about, and we learned more about it at 26 than some will learn in a lifetime".
"You and I should have been able to live the next 60 years of our lives together, but I’m still forever thankful that God gave us eight incredible years".
Their wedding video is now being shared around the world, and the couple's videographers have said that being a part of the couple's big day was "the most memorable day of their careers".
