Father Ted fans could see the cult series appear in the next Captain America film as movie execs team up with website Radio Times for fan vote.

In an unprecedented move, fans will be able to dictate part of the next Captain America film though American website

The website is currently running a poll to determine which one of ten classic British and Irish TV shows could appear in the new Captain America film.

The script details Captain America waking from a 65-year 'ice-coma' and having to catch up on what he has missed. In one of these scenes, focus will be on pages from his notebook detailing some of the news and cultural references he has slept through, including TV shows he's missed. In the poll, readers can vote on up to three of the ten shows listed to 'help decide' which one will appear.

Irish TV fans will see some familiar shows on the list, including Mrs Brown’s Boys and Father Ted, among shows like Coronation Street, X Factor and Big Brother.
