A YouTube video of a father's impassioned plea to the social networking giant has been viewed over half a million times.

To celebrate its 10th birthday, Facebook launched 'A Look Back', a feature that allows users to see a personalised movie or collection of photos with their biggest moments since they joined Facebook.

John Berlin made an impassioned plea in a YouTube video, "calling out to Mark Zuckerberg". Berlin, who lost his son suddenly in 2012 at twenty-one years of age, made the video to ask the Facevook founders to let him see his son's video.

"Did you ever do something crazy because you just don't know what to do anymore?"

Berlin was hoping the video would go viral and get Facebook's attention, and with over half a million views overnight, he has achieved that goal. "Facebook contacted us and they're going to work on that vid. I want to thank everyone for your support".

"I didn't know what to expect from this but it was worth a try.  My son was 21 and died of natural causes, his autopsy came back undetermined.  He is proof that there are no guarantees in life.  Hug your children kiss them.  Tell them you love them every single day."
