Some 400 students in Cork have created a You Tube sensation, already bagging 37,000 views for a lipdubbing video to celebrate their school’s 40th anniversary.

The video by students from Boherbue Comprehensive School in Mallow took five weeks to make.

The 18-minute film starts with a sketch of retired teachers returning to the school building, saying they’re not going to do anything for the school’s 40th anniversary.

The students then break out into song, and amongst other covers, belt out the English and Irish-language versions of Avicii’s Wake Me Up, Teenage Kicks, and Don't Stop Me Now.

The video is sparking a great reaction online, and the students have joked that they’re now awaiting a call from Hollywood.
