Sasha Brady

Glitz, glamour and a Healy-Rae.

Dancing with the Stars is making its way to Irish television for the first time ever in early 2017 and we've made a list of the ten contestants we'd like to see make an appearance on the show.

Linda Martin

See above.

She has the moves that could take her all the way to the final. She might (hopefully) even introduce Teddy as a dance prop. Also, we want to see her and Linda Martin compete in the finale where their rivalry will be settled in a dramatic, dance-off. Who wins? You decide.

Jean Byrne

An economically sound choice for RTE. The glamorous weather woman could save the wardrobe department plenty of money by supplying her own outfits.

George Hook

Not his first rodeo.

A Healy-Rae

A Danny or Micheal, we're not too fussy.

Brian McFadden

Brian McFadden

A Westlife or a Boyzone member has to make an appearance. We're guessing that Nicky Byrne might host so we're hoping that Brian steps in as a contestant and viewers can cringe at the awkward moments that might pass between the two former bandmates.

Martin King

Give him the medal already.

Aengus Mac Grianna

Aengus would make a great contestant. Just look at how he handled the make-up gaffe (above). The man's a pro. He wouldn't falter under pressure and we imagine he'd own some of the trickier dance moves.

Samantha Mumba

Lest we forget this woman had a starring role in a Spielberg film and was one of Ireland's most successful pop artists. She deserves a comeback. Make it happen.

If not as a contestant then definitely as a host, she'd be the perfect Irish Tess Daly.
