'Spice bag' voted Ireland's favourite dish
Among the winners at the Just Eat National Takeaway Awards was the infamous Spice Bag.
Winners were crowned on Tuesday in seventeen different categoies. The event was hosted by Vogue Williams and 'Baz' Ashmawy.
The humble Spice Bag beat out Tikka Masala, Meat Feast Pizza, Chicken Balls and Green Curry to nab the coveted title.
Just Eat describes the Spice Bag as "crispy chicken/chicken balls, chips, and a mystery blend of Chinese spices all shaken up in in a bag or box".
"This spicy miracle has cropped up all over the country in the last number of months and it’s easy to see why. The humble paper bag exterior hides a taste explosion capable of curing any morning-after fear or elevating any Netflix marathon to the next level".
