Prince Harry landed himself in hot water by swearing live on radio on Wednesday.

The word he uttered as "arse" which is possibly on the lowest end of the offensive scale but his slip up has still caused a bit of a stir in the UK.

Prince Harry (31) was speaking about the upcoming Invictus Games to Chris Evans on his BBC Radio 1 show at the time.

"It is epic amounts of fun, and it’s for everyone," he said. “And these guys are fantastic ambassadors for going out there and putting on a show.”

“They want to be able to serve their country again, put the Union Jack on their left breast and kick the arse out of life.”

A spokesperson for BBC Radio told The Independent that Prince Harry "talked with passion about the Invictus Games".

While a minority were offended, most people were highly amused and quick to defend the prince.
