Jeremy Clarkson's daughter has implored online trolls to think before they type after she faced a string of nasty comments on an old photograph resurfaced.
Emily Clarkson was on the receiving end of mean jibes after she made a job about her father's new job with Amazon Prime. She tweeted a picture of her father with the message: “So, is he going to be delivering my parcels then?”
Not long after that, an unflattering photo of her taken three years ago resurfaced. The photo shows her pulling a funny face beside a Ferrari. A large number of commenters on a popular news website began to target to the 20-year-old by posting nasty comments.
"Fatty boom boom alert", "She looks like a skank", "Has Clarkson's daughter eaten Richard Hammond?" and "She looks like a skank" were just a few of the malicious comments.
The jibes inspired Emily to make a video detailing who she is and why making cruel comments online is not okay,
The video begins with the words: “I work hard. I love my family. I love my friends. I run a happiness blog I am a happy person. I do NOT own a Ferrari.”
She also brings reference to the picture that caused the nastiness in the first place.
“I hate this photo. I didn’t know I was going to be photographed. I was 17. I had not spent the day in hair and make-up. Why would I?
“I am a daughter. I am a sister. I am a friend. I am a human. And so are you. And so, from one human to another, I implore you to think before you write. I implore you to think about the pain you cause. I implore you to be kind.”
