A giant mushroom about the size of two human heads has been found in Donegal.

The huge fungus was found at Raymoughey Abbey in Manorcunningham in east Donegal.

A group of locals were cleaning the area when they discovered the mushroom in a field.

Known as a giant pufferball, mushrooms of this type can grow up to 150cm (59in) in diameter and are completely edible when young.

They are quite common in the UK and Ireland, but specimens of this size are rarely seen.
