Ed Sheeran has revealed that Irish actress Saoirse Ronan caught him out in an epic prank.

The Atonement star appears in the new video for his hit Galway Girl, which was filmed in Galway last week, and he asked her to write the title of the song on him in her handwriting.

However, instead of Galway Girl, Saoirse (23) wrote Galway Grill, which was then tattooed on Ed's arm.

Speaking to the crowd at his Glasgow gig on Sunday the 26 year old star said, "When we were filming it I meant to get a tattoo of her handwriting saying Galway Girl from her point of view.

"It actually says Galway Grill.  G-R-I-L-L.  She really took the p*** out of me.  Full on!"

However, he's not holding it against Saoirse for sabotaging his artwork.  In fact he's quite taken by her initiative.

He continued, “I haven’t actually told anyone that yet.

“I’m actually quite proud of her. It’s the kind of thing I would do.”

The singer already has more than 60 tattoos so it probably won't be quite so noticeable!
