WATCH: P-p-penguins picked up as they tried to make great escape from zoo

It's almost like they saw the movie 'Madagascar' and decided to emulate a scene from it.

A group of five naughty penguins attempted to break free from captivity, and prepared to flee from a Danish zoo.

 

However, despite their crafty plan, the flock of adorable black and white birds made a serious error by leaving their footprints behind, showing authorities exactly where they had gone to.

The comical video has gone viral, racking up over 425,000 views since it was posted online.

Zoo staff simply followed the trail and found the five little penguins before they headed for the airport.
