WATCH: Philip the Duck gets new 3D printed feet after losing his to frostbite
A footless duck has been saved from being put down after a teacher made him new feet with a 3D printer.
Philip the duck was just an hour away from meeting his maker in Wisconsin having lost both his feet to frostbite.
However, local teacher Jason Jischke spent six weeks fine tuning some new feet to allow the mallard to walk again.
Vicki Rabe-Harrison has been caring for Philip and is thrilled with his new plastic orange flippers made from 'ninja flex'.
"It's so exciting to see him with his new feet," she said tearfully, "He's got a new life."
Philip has been taken in by a local sanctuary.
