This 4-year-old had the best time at Slane thanks to Gardai and fire service
If you think you had a good time at Slane last weekend for Guns N' Roses, it probably didn't come close to this little boy's day.
Oisín Cudden (4) from Duleek was visiting his grandad Oliver in Slane on Saturday as hundreds of Gardai hit the village to guide thousands of rock fans to the site.
And his mum, Aoife Duggan, says her motorbike mad little boy couldn't believe his luck when he spotted the Gardai at their post outside his granddad's house.
"Oisín has been brought up around bike since he was born," she says, "My dad, Oisín's [other] grandad Jimmy has a Honda 175 and another two motorbikes that he takes Oisín on in the garden. He loves the noise and loves helping to change the oil.
"Where his grandad Oliver lives the Gardai had their canteen just out the front so he saw the bikes and ran out the front door straight over to the two Gardai who were so nice. He just went straight up and the Garda stuck on the lights and siren.
"We had passed them on the main road into Slane and the minute Oisín saw them he was delighted. He's motorbike mad!
"I have to say, the security and Gardai were so nice between giving Oisín high fives and chatting to him on what was a busy night!
"Even the lads at the fire engine there where just fantastic. They didn't have to let him in, same as the Gardai, they could have easily said no but they went out of their way and made him really happy."Here’s what Guns N’ Roses’ Slash, Duff McKagan, and fans had to say about Slane Review: Rock icons Guns N' Roses came, saw and conquered Slane all over again
