A DUBLIN Bus driver has been praised after stopping his bus to help an elderly man cross a busy road in Dublin.

The driver was driving on route 41 from the city centre to Swords this afternoon.

He noticed an elderly man struggling to find a break in the traffic on a busy road close to the airport when the bus was picking up passengers at a stop.

Before pulling off however he got off the bus to offer the man help crossing the road.

Passenger Victor-Ioan Onea sent the photos to after being touched by the bus driver’s act of kindness.

“There are still people who care in this world”, he told

“Congratulations and all the best to the driver”, he added.
