Weir & Sons is celebrating its 150th anniversary next year and has big plans in motion to mark the milestone. It was just one of the topics of conversation when I attended the company's Christmas party and got chatting with Natasha, Chris and Lucinda Andrews. The siblings are the fifth generation in the family's iconic jewellery store on Dublin's Grafton Street, where they are hosting a Cartier Christmas for the month of December.

Down at the new-look Morgan Hotel on Fleet Street,  general manager Declan Curtis and sales and marketing manager Jennifer McKenna were genial hosts at the launch of the stylishly revamped hotel, following its extensive €15m investment and redesign.

Regular visitors to Dublin (Emily Baker (below, left) and Bianca Iaciofano hosted a beautiful Jo Malone London 'Bring on the Baubles' Christmas breakfast and sent everyone home smelling divine.

Freshly returned from Barbados, Caroline and Pádraig Harrington cut quite a dash at the 30th Annual Excellence in Sport Awards 2018, in aid of the Irish Youth Foundation, held at the Clayton Hotel on Dublin's Burlington Road.
