Authur's Day 2010: Top five bands to watch

Our favourite Scottish trio will be playing at St James’s Gate, hopefully not too upset after their recent Mercury loss. Keep an ear out for rock anthems such as Mountains and The Captain.

Ol’ Tinie will be heading up The Village ahead of the release of his new album, The Disc-Overy. This may well be your last chance to see Tempah in such a small venue — so cling onto it!

Blackrock’s finest will be playing a few sets over the course of the festival, and to miss them would be criminal. Keep an eye out in the Baggot Inn and Bruxelles.

A one-man glitter explosion, James O’Neill will be dashing around venues on the night — all with an aim to make as many people dance as possible. Places he’ll hit up include Dakota and the George.

The husky-voiced dreamboat will be playing at the Savoy in Cork, hoping, in the process, to turn the People’s Republic into the Buena Vista Social Club.
