Aston Merrygold and Janette Manrara have said they may perform the routines they were denied on Strictly Come Dancing and post them on YouTube.

The pair’s elimination from Sunday night’s show was a shock, as former JLS star Merrygold was one of the early favourites to win the BBC One dancing show.

They became the sixth couple to leave after a dance-off against Mollie King and AJ Pritchard that saw head judge Shirley Ballas opt to save King.

Professional dancer Manrara said she disagreed with the low score of four points that judge Craig Revel Horwood had awarded them on the Saturday night for their Viennese Waltz.

She told This Morning presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: “I mean, you know, everything is an opinion so there’s no right or wrong really in this show and in anything involved with art in general it’s an expression, so everything comes down to opinions really – but do I agree with him (Revel Horwood)? Absolutely not.

“I don’t think that deserved a four at all, I think it was really harsh of him to give to Aston, but he is the judge and you have to kind of respect it and I do respect it, I just really disagree with it.”

Revel Horwood commented on Monday, writing on Twitter: “Dear all the judges vote on the dance off alone NOT past performances or potential performances in the future! If you wanna have ur say VOTE.”

Encouraged by Willoughby to carry on dancing and post their efforts online, Manrara said: “I think we are, we’ve been talking about it, so I think it might happen.”

The pair said they would have liked to have been able to perform the jive and the Charleston before leaving.
