Pixar’s biggest success Story

HARRY LEECH

THE full-length animation Toy Story 3 seems set to go "to infinity and beyond" at the Irish box office and has already taken €4.5m around the country this summer.

The Pixar animated story is not only the biggest blockbuster release of summer but is also the most successful movie released so far in 2010.

The film overtook Dream-Works rival Shrek Forever After this week and is now the third-highest-grossing animated movie in Irish cinema history, behind The Simpsons Movie and Shrek the Third.

Despite debuting a full 15 years after the first Toy Story movie, the critically acclaimed “threequel” is expected to last at least another fortnight in Irish cinemas.
