Macron and Ross to address OECD event

French President Emmanuel Macron and US Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross are among the speakers at the 2018 OECD Forum taking place tomorrow and Wednesday in Paris. Key themes at the forum will be international co-operation, inclusive growth, and digitalisation.

Staying in Europe, and Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel is due to address the European Parliament in Strasbourg on the 'Future of Europe' tomorrow.

Also tomorrow, in the US Starbucks is due to shut 8,000 company-run stores for the afternoon to hold racial-bias training following the wrongful arrest of two black men in a Philadelphia store. On Thursday, G7 Finance and Development Ministers and Central Bank governors will meet in British Columbia where they are expected to discuss the topic 'Investing in Growth that Works for Everyone.'

Domestically, as AGM season continues, tomorrow Irish Residential Properties Reit will hold its AGM, followed by Total Produce on Thursday, and Gan on Friday.

The CSO will today release earnings and labour costs for the first quarter of 2018, as well as the retail sales index for April. On Wednesday, the CSO will release the aviation statistics for the first three months of the year.
