A busy data week kicks off with today's Ulster Bank Construction Purchasing Managers' Index for March.

Meanwhile, the Central Statistics Office (CSO) will release the goods export and import figures for February. Also today the CSO will release the Government Finance annual statistics (April 2012-2017), as well as the Government Finance quarterly statistics for the fourth quarter of 2017.

Elsewhere, French President Emmanuel Macron is set to address the European Parliament in Strasbourg tomorrow on the future of the EU. On Thursday, he and German Chancellor Angela Merkel hold talks in Berlin, a week before each travels to Washington for talks with Donald Trump.

The IMF and World Bank begin their annual spring meetings tomorrow against the background of the US trade stand-off with China and even starker Syrian tensions.

And US earnings season kicks off with Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Morgan Stanley, American Express, Netflix, IBM, Procter & Gamble, Novartis, Sky, and Heineken all reporting.
