Credit Sussie pair to step down over tax evasion case
Credit Suisse chief executive officer Brady Dougan and chairman Urs Rohner could step down as the bank moves to resolve a criminal investigation over tax evasion in the US.
Sources say a settlement agreement between Credit Suisse and US authorities is due to be announced.
Mr Dougan (54) is the first American to serve as sole CEO of the Swiss firm. He became CEO in May 2007 after heading the company's investment bank. Mr Rohner (54), a former general counsel at Credit Suisse, became non-executive chairman three years ago.
