WORK AND THE SOCIAL MEDIA WHAT ARE THEY SAYING ABOUT YOU?
Despite what you may personally think about the use of social media for your business, it is certainly impossible to deny the impact that negative commentary about you or your business can have on your profitability.
Social networks provide the platform for any disgruntled customer to publicly vent about you and your business to millions of people!
You may feel that if your company is not established on any social media that you are protected from this -- however, this is certainly not the case. There are millions of forums out there that allow people to express their feelings -- and you as a business owner really need to be on top of this.
The good news is that this does not need to be as daunting as it sounds. Firstly you need to be aware of what is being said.
Using the free tool 'Me on the web' (which is part of https://www.google.com/dashboard/) can allow you to set up and monitor anything being said about your business on the web.
Once you are aware of it, you can then address any commentary through good old relationship management by attempting to clearly highlight your concern for the customer and resolving any outstanding issues.
