The Punt: ISME kindly tries to banish Greek blues with good news
The Punt has long touted the virtues of ISME boss Mark Fielding, and much like your local postman, he almost always delivers the goods.
It seems that Fielding's children were under the impression that their father worked for 'ISME Slams!' due to the amount of time the organisation spends "giving out" (Fielding's words, not ours).
He points out that as Greece is dominating the news agenda, it's increasingly difficult for good news (and ISME news) to get column inches.
And what better way to pick yourself up than to learn about the wonders of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)? The Punt sure can't think of too many.
As ISME helpfully tells us, CSR is all is about being a responsible business that makes a positive contribution to the local community. The body's survey found that 94pc of SMEs donate money to charity while almost two fifths have a charity partner. Good news indeed!
