Intercom, one of Ireland’s only home-grown ‘unicorn’ tech companies, has just turned 10 years old. Hotly tipped for an IPO soon, it has just become profitable and is still on a hiring spree in Dublin and abroad. The company co-founded by Dubliners Eoghan McCabe, Des Traynor, Ciaran Lee and David Barrett is also growing.

On its 10th anniversary, I sat down with chief strategy officer Des Traynor and CEO Karen Peacock to talk about the company’s early days, its future and why it’s already now at a multiple of its last €1bn unicorn valuation.
