Netflix is to raise its subscription price
Netflix is to raise its subscription price

Netflix launched in Ireland back in January 2012 and we were instantly told by critics that "it's not as good as the American one". While there is no denying how great the content available on the US service is, we're not exactly stuck for something to watch!

In the last few months alone some stellar movies, TV shows and documentaries have been added for our viewing pleasure. Some new additions you may have missed include:

* Homeland (Season 1 & 2)

* Sherlock (Season 1 & 2)

* Parade's End

* Bill Bailey's Jungle Hero

* Suits (Season 1 & 2)

* The Hobbit

They're constantly adding content; old and new. Gems such as the movie adaptation of Stephen King's The Body , Stand By Me starring River Phoenix, the late Philip Seymour Hoffman's portrayal of Truman Capote and the iconic The Godfather are all available, on demand.

At only €7.99 a month, it's hard to complain.

New photo feature

Google have recently introduced a new feature within Gmail, allowing users to access all photos from their mobile devices, once backed up within Google Photos. It's now possible to click 'Insert Photo' within Gmail and see images from all devices.

Depending on how the photos are organised, it's possible to share out entire albums.

A very slick and incredibly useful tool that has been added alongside this facility is the ability to resize photos within an email, with a simple drag.

To enable the 'Auto Backup' feature within Gmail on a smart device follow these steps:

Android: Photos app - menu - settings - Auto Backup - Toggle On

iOS: Google + app - menu - gear icon - Camera and Photos - Auto Backup - Toggle On

Quick tip

Ensure your auto upload features only jump into action whilst on WiFi, otherwise you could face a hefty data bill!
