HE’S recently spoken of how he has worked to gain investment to Ireland – and now it appears U2 frontman Bono is doing his bit for tourism as well.
He was pictured with wife Ali Hewson last night accompanying visiting model Lily Cole to Dublin’s plush Clarence hotel.
Cole was in town as part of the Web Summit, which has been running at the RDS since Tuesday.
Bono was hosting a private party for some of the Web Summit guests at the hotel last night.
‘Desperate Housewives’ star Eva Longoria had dinner with Cole on Tuesday night, however flew out from Dublin yesterday morning.
Cole yestersay revealed that her favourite fashion brand is ethical label Edun, owned by Bono and Ali Hewson.
She's the co-founder of impossible.com, a social network based on exchange out of goodwill.
Cole explained that after years of working in the fashion industry, she now looks into the background of where her clothes came from and has become involved with Edun recently.
"This designer, Edun that I'm wearing, where the clothes are manufactured in Africa to support," she explained. "There's a huge number of really fascinating companies that I would like to try to champion."
