Video: Czech engineers create successful flying bicycle
AFTER their first prototype that was unveiled nine months ago, their design has progressed greatly - with this video showing a successful test run of the first flying bicycle.
In futuristic movies you see an abundance of flying cars and Hoover crafts, but in the real world none have been created, until now.
This video shows the bicycle being controlled remotely and it is seen flying around the inside of a large warehouse - with a number of media looking on in amazement.
It’s not the finished article but the designers are hopeful the flying bicycle will be piloted by a rider in the near future.
THE current flying capacity is at five minutes before it needs recharged, however Milan Duchek, the technical director of Duratec Bicycles said: "Because the capacity of batteries doubles about every ten years, we can expect that in the future the capacity would be enough for the bike to used for sports, tourism or similar things."
