TV3 launches new 3player app

TV3 today launched its redeveloped 3player app, which will let viewers tune into TV3 and 3e shows live or catch up with shows they miss when it suits them.

TV3 today released its redesigned 3player app, which is available online, and on iOS and Android.

It’s pitched as a significant upgrade, optimised for use across multiple screens and devices and easier to navigate. It will deliver a faster interface and video download capabilities.

TV3 and 3e fans can use the player to catch up on shows they’ve missed or tune in live. This will be particularly useful during the Rugby World Cup, which gets underway on Friday. All 48 games will be available live on the 3player.

The 3player can also act as a discovery tool. Users can search for shows, or browse using the A-Z directory.

Group Digital Development Manager at TV3, Brendan McGillicuddy, said that more features and improvements will be added in the coming months. For now, TV3 wanted to focus “on delivering a completely updated user experience, by keeping everything as simple to use as possible.”

TV3’s 3player is available to download for free on desktop, iOS, and Android.
