You may be able to trade in digital Xbox games

Microsoft is currently asking Xbox owners if they'd like the option to be able to sell back digital games for 10% of the purchase price.

Microsoft is surveying Xbox owners to see if they’d like the option to be able to sell digital games back.

One recipient posted an image of the question to Reddit. It states that those effectively trading in digital games would get 10% of the purchase price in store credit.

This seems like a useful option for smaller Arcade titles, but 10% of a AAA game is pretty low. You’d get a couple of euro for a brand new game that you bought digitally; it’s better than nothing, but it’s unlikely to sway those who trade games in from buying physical discs.

We’ll have to wait and see how this works if Microsoft presses ahead with this plan. If survey responses are positive, this could be something we hear about at a games conference this year. Last year, Microsoft announced backwards compatibility, something that fans had been requesting for some time.
