XCOM 2 commanders have lost 4.5 million soldiers

Emma Clark

XCOM 2 commanders have been a little reckless in the field, losing more than 4.5 million soldiers in the line of duty.

XCOM 2 has been out for less than a week and there have been 4.5 million casualties of war already.

Firaxis has launched a stat-tracking website that reveals plenty of details about how players are approaching XCOM 2. The new turn limit appears to be causing some players issues, as almost 400,000 (9%) of those soldiers lost have been left behind. Strangely, 66% of the casualties to date have been because of collateral damage.

The aliens aren't faring much better though; more than 58 million enemies have been killed. Rangers have been the most deadly with 26% of kills, while Specialists need to step up their workload with just 18% of total kills.

It makes for interesting reading; perhaps you can read between the lines and learn something new or at least learn not to bunch your soldiers together or have them run through fire.
