Xbox App Not Set for OSX Any Time Soon
Xbox head honcho Phil Spencer claims that the company has no plans to bring its Xbox One app to OSX due to a lack of requests
Xbox One players hoping to get their hands on an OSX version of Microsoft's awesome Windows app for the platform don't appear to have any light at the end of the tunnel at the moment, with Xbox head honcho Phil Spencer claiming that a lack of requests mean it's not a priority for the company.
PC owners can use the app to connect directly to their Xbox One consoles (assuming they're on the same network), accessing their dashboards in real time and even streaming games directly to their computers via the console itself, however due to relatively few OSX owners requesting the feature from Microsoft, there are currently no plans to port the app across.
When responding to an inquiry about the software, Spencer told DualShockers followers:
"Honestly haven't had a lot of requests. Put it up on http://feedback.xbox.com and let's see how many people are interested"
Interestingly, it seems that such a topic exists on the Xbox site, however only a relatively meagre 400 gamers have shown interest in having the feature added which, for a console with around 15-20 million sales (exact figures remain unknown), is a paltry amount. If you'd like to see the app make its way to OSX, though, you know what to do!
