Naughty Dog is pushing Uncharted 4's release date back until April 2016 to ensure that it lives up to the team's vision.
Uncharted 4's release date has been pushed back from March 18th until April 26th, 2016.
Neil Druckmann, Creative Director, and Bruce Straley, Game Director took to the PlayStation Blog to break the news. They wrote that production is being wrapped up and the game is "shaping up to be the proper send off for Nathan Drake that we’ve promised you." But, they wrote, "we need a bit more time to finish the game so that it meets our standards and vision."
"This is our largest Uncharted game to date, and the team has been working incredibly hard to meet the challenge of closing out the game’s development in a timely manner. However, as we approached our final deadlines and started wrapping up the game’s levels, we realized that several key sequences needed extra resources to bring them to the finish line," they explained.
Nathan Drake's final chapter, which Naughty Dog is calling its most ambitious installment, will now be released on April 26th, 2016. Perhaps there will be another multiplayer beta to make up for this delay.
