Two Xperia Z6 Handsets Coming from Sony in 2016
Reports are suggesting that Sony is set to launch two brand new Xperia Z6 handsets next year - however we won't be seeing them any time soon
As things start to gear up for next month's CES in Las Vegas, the rumour mill is already churning out all manner of stories, but one which has caught our eye certainly won't be showing up at January's show - as reports claim that Sony is set to add a two new handsets to its Xperia Z6 range in 2016, starting in the summer.
Despite releasing some of the best built handsets in the smartphone market over the past few years, Sony has been struggling to gain the kind of traction it would have liked, leading many to suggest that the electronics giant may be ready to cut the number of devices it launches. That doesn't look to be the case for 2016, though, if the news that two variants on its Z6 are right around the corner is anything to go by.
Both of the Z6 devices are reportedly powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, and will feature a striking metallic design, however it looks as though it'll be quite some time before we find out for sure, with the first of the new devices not set to launch until June, and the second following around October.
Hopefully this time around they'll get the kind of sales figures their more recent high end offerings have so richly deserved.
