Apple will apparently announce two iPhone 7 Plus models later this year, one of which will feature a dual-lens camera setup.

Apple is reportedly working on not one, but two iPhone 7 Plus handsets, one of which will reportedly feature a dual-lens camera setup.

Alongside the iPhone 7, Apple is tipped to release two versions of its larger 5.5-inch device. Kota Ezawa of Citi Research believes that only one of these handsets will feature a dual-camera setup. “We expect Apple to release two 5.5-inch iPhone 7 models but only include dual rear cameras in the high-end model,” Ezawa said.

Apple may finally respond to improvements made by other manufacturers. “In the last few years, Apple has added new features, including lightning connectors and haptic functionality, but the improvements in camera and display performance have been minor and there have been no dramatic changes,” Ezawa said.

Dual-camera setups look set to grow in popularity this year. Huawei recently unveiled the P9, which boasts a dual-camera setup. And it’s unlikely to be the last manufacturer to feature such a setup on its handsets.
