Street Fighter V included in 2016 Evo tournaments
The organisers of Evo, the largest fighting game tournament in the world, have announced the tournament line-up, which includes Street Fighter V.
Street Fighter fans will have four months to get to grips with Street Fighter V’s roster, movesets, and mechanics before the Evo fighting game tournament gets underway.
Evo will take place in Las Vegas from July 15th-17th. This year, the tournament organisers have announced nine tournaments that will take place over the course of the show. Street Fighter V, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Smash Bros. Wii U, Pokken Tournament, Mortal Kombat X, Guilty Gear Xrd – REVELATOR, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Killer Instinct, and Tekken 7 will give competitive players the chance to compete for fame and glory.
Some of the fighting game community have not reacted favourably to the news that Ultra Street Fighter IV will be replaced by Street Fighter V. Their mood has not been improved by the inclusion of two Super Smash Bros. titles, one that’s 15 years old, in the line-up.
Street Fighter V will be released on February 19th.
