Steam winter sale will let you treat yourself this Christmas

Emma Clark

Steam's winter sale will apparently get underway on December 22nd, according to an e-mail from PayPal advertising its digital gift cards.

Steam's annual winter sale will reportedly start on December 22nd.

Once again, the news comes via PayPal which sent out e-mails to tempt users to pick up or ask for digital gift cards. NeoGAF user RadioJoNES64 posted a screengrab of the e-mail, which you can see below.

It seems like the winter sale is kicking off quite late, but then again the autumn sale concluded quite recently. Plus, an end-of-month sale makes sense as people might have money once more after purchasing gifts for others and will know what their library looks like post-Christmas.

The autumn sale saw the end of Flash and Daily sales and it seems likely that the winter sale will follow suit. This makes it much easier to grab a bargain without needing to be able to make a purchase at the drop of a hat.

Keep an eye on Steam from December 22nd; perhaps you'll nab a great bargain.
