SKTelecom T1 was crowned the League of Legends World Champions for the second time in three years over the weekend, winning $1 million in the process.

SKTelecom T1 became the first two-time League of Legends world championship team after wrapping up the 2015 World Championship Finals in emphatic fashion.

Not only is SKT the first team to win two world championships but, going into the finals, SKTelecom had won all 12 of its World Championship games, which is also a first.

It looked possible that the team would go undefeated, but that wasn’t to be the case as Koo Tigers managed to rally to put a blemish on SKTelecom’s record.

A dent was all that Koo Tigers could inflict, as SKT went on to win 3-1. SKT completely dominated game four after KOO’s shock victory, restricting KOO to just a single kill and one tower felled in the last game.

SKT’s Gyeong-hwan "MaRin" Jang was later named the Worlds 2015 MVP.

SKT took home $1 million for its victory, while the team members of Koo Tigers had to console themselves with $250,000.
